I bought these Saitek controls for X-Plane back in April 2011 and to be fair they have been great. They worked first time with x-plane 9 and 10. The build quality is very good. I have not used the functional switch on the yoke (which means you can have multiple programmable options for the same switch movement) because while I love x-plane to fly a route, I am NOT really into the key assignments. I prefer to fly a 172 not a 737. In summary though.. my Flight Sim hours have been great with these. You know... Do you REALLY need them? Probably no, BUT is your simulation experience enhanced with them? YES
